I recently posted here about Doug Kaye's IT Conversations business model conversation. I suggested a $29.95 subscription fee and I thought the right thing to do was send him the money. In Doug's case, I think that is a bargain price for great subscription material -- although the last Gilmor Gang was a nodder, they can't all be home-runs. Sending Doug money is fee-for-service, but with my ace research analyst JFB's birthday being in December I wanted to do a small something to honour the occasion.
Curry talked to Lee Wilkins about the plight of his dogs Alfie and Benson, and they had me at "Hello". So I sent Lee a few bucks and so have many others. On Monday, Lee and his girlfriend are going to pick up the dogs in Atlanta and bring them home to the U.K. But it's not over yet folks; the fat lady does not show up for another six months and this is where you can help.
