Cooking with Technology -- A Bradcast Original
I've been talking up this idea for months. How about a cooking podcast where geeks discuss some techie subject while preparing the ingredients?
My wife, Jan Bradley, and I recorded this show at the end of April as a "pilot" concept for the Bradcast. One of our microphones was not working well and the noise on the podcast bothered me so I've been holding back on releasing the show. What the heck... the tracking noise has been cleaned up somewhat and I have done my best to equalize the levels. The stereo mix had to be eliminated in order to balance the sound.
We cook a menu idea from Gourmet/Epicurious that celebrates Mother's Day; but now that the Day has come and gone you will find that this meal would be good for any special occasion. It's also not difficult or time consuming to make. The recipes can be found here:
· Pork Tenderloin with Rhubarb-Currant Chutney
· Salt Roasted Potatoes
· Asparagus with Lemon and Butter
For dinner we drank a Chardonnay and Merlot from the Trius series at Hillebrand.
What does a geek do when they cook? They talk tech. We talk, as only two Windows-centric individuals could, about the Apple Mac G4 Powerbook that co-habitates with us in our land of networked CPU's. The Apple world is still something of a mystery to us and no doubt the true blue Mac listeners in our audience will find a thing or two in our discussion to pick on.
